Meralco elects new director

IN its regular meeting held on July 26, 2010, the Meralco board of directors elected Oscar Reyes as a member of the board to fill the position vacated by Jose de Jesus, who resigned from the board effective July 1, 2010. De Jesus returned to government to serve as Department of Transportation and Communications secretary.

The Meralco board also approved the declaration of cash dividend for common shares at the rate of P2.50 per share in favor of stockholders as of record date August 23, 2010 and payable on September 16, 2010.
