Bayan provides voice SMS service for BMPM
BAYAN supports every Filipino’s right to be heard by providing communications technology for the upcoming national elections. “Inherent to the company’s philosophy and values, Bayan seeks to empower ABS-CBN’s Boto Mo, I-Patrol Mo (BMPM) campaign by providing communication channels in a time when everyone’s opinion counts,” said John Rojo, VP for corporate brand and communications. The telco will provide hotlines for BMPM, a responsible citizenship campaign in line with the May 2010 elections.

The hotline number (02) 411- 2676 or (02) 411-BMPM has been integrated with a voice SMS capability so that reports may be recorded and properly documented. These voice calls may be featured in ABS-CBN’s news reports on TV and on radio.

Bayan encourages BMPM patrollers to call and report observations, reactions or commentaries regarding the elections. All they have to do is register as a BMPM patroller so they can begin doing their election reports through Bayan.

“Pushing for cleaner elections is, after all, a social responsibility that everyone should always be ready to fulfill,” Rojo noted.
