Bayan launches voice SMS service
TRUE to its thrust of letting the Filipino be heard, Bayan has launched its voice SMS service for both its fixed line and mobile subscribers.

Voice SMS is a recorded voice message that is delivered with an SMS notification or via voice call.

“We want to be able to give our subscribers the most efficient, affordable and unique way to connect with their friends and loved ones, that’s why we came up with voice SMS,” said John Rojo, Bayan VP for corporate brand and communications. “So far, the response to the voice SMS feature in the Bayan-provided ‘Boto Mo, IPatrol Mo’ (BMPM) hotlines has been very phenomenal.”

To send a love SMS via voice to a bayanWIRELESS Landline (BWL) subscriber must dial *0 + area code + phone number and record a 30-second message. To send to a mobile, dial *0 + operator code + phone number. The recipient will receive an SMS instructing him how to retrieve the voice SMS. For bayanPHONE subscribers to send a voice SMS to a landline, dial 990 + area code + phone number. To send to a mobile number, they must dial 990 + operator code + mobile number. The service costs only P1.50 per voice SMS. Subscribers of other carriers can use the Bayan voice SMS service by dialing a pre-defined number and following the voice prompt.
