“SYNERGIZING for Change” was the theme of this year’s League of Corporate Foundations (LCF) CSR Expo held at the SMX Convention Center. The Meralco Management and Leadership Development Center (MMLDC) Foundation Inc. and the Meralco Millennium Foundation Inc. (MMFI) both joined to represent their mother company.

The CSR Expo for 2010 provided a platform for sharing the best practices, discussing new ideas and trends, addressing issues and challenges and, of course, celebrating successes. MMLDC’s Amor Curaming, associate director for academic services, moderated the Buzz Workshop “Tayo Naman ang Magkuwentuhan.” With the topic “Solidarity through Responsible Citizenship,” she led a discussion on integrating the practices of responsible citizenship with education programs and how communities can be involved in this process.

Curaming also moderated another topic, “Working towards Sustainable Health Programs: Beyond Medical Missions.” She stressed the importance of the partnership between the public and private sectors in promoting preventive health education among schoolchildren.
