MECHANICS FOR PARTNER SCHOOLS I. DEPED Guidelines • New and Old but functioning toys will be accepted as donations but the following are the more preferred toys: o Puzzles o Multicolored Spindle o Fit-in geometric shapes o Wooden beads o Graded cylinders or any shapes with graduated sizes o Number, shapes and color sorter o Number play cubes o Colored cubes o Table blocks o Floor blocks o Domino type toys o Matching card games (games that encourage concentration) o Game boards o Learning charts o Activity books o Shape sorting games o Dolls o Lego o Dress up frames o Carpenter tools o Garden play tools o Play dough materials o Doll bed with doll accessories o Number play cubes o Peg board with 100 pegs o Inch cubes o Assessment box • Please refrain from giving toys that promote violence, such as toy robots and toy swords, and other toys inappropriate for kids around 5 years of age. • Inappropriate (disregarded) toys shall also be accepted and shall be kept for future donation to other appropriate venues/recipients. II. Company as Partner • Cascade information to employees and other organizations to join and support Larunungan Kalinga Kapamilya Toy Drive • May sponsor soft launch of Larunungan Kalinga Kapamilya Toy Drive • Make periodic announcement of toy drive to employees and other organizations to encourage more donors starting September, 2011. • Allowed (but not required) to organize thematic events to collect more toys • May document significant toy drive activities/events Company as Drop Off Point • Provide its own drop boxes • Designate a point person and space for drop boxes in their school; • Sort, count, record, pack, and ready toy donations for distribution to chosen public elementary schools As partner for turn-over/distribution of toys • May choose to keep collected toys for their own turn-over/distribution to public schools • Identify public schools with kindergarten classes of their choice ; • Coordinate & facilitate own turn-over/distribution activity to chosen public school(s) ; • Document distribution efforts ; • Inform ABS-CBN Integrated Public Service (IPS) of target public school prior to activity to prevent duplication since parishes will also do their own turn-over/distribution; • Inform ABS-CBN IPS of school’s turn-over/distribution after the activity with the following data: - date of distribution - name and address of school - no. of pupils served - no. of toys distributed - name of school principal or contact person and contact details • After distribution, remaining toys should be packed ready for pick up by the courier partner and to inform ABS-CBN IPS of such through SMS to facilitate collection. III. ABS-CBN Integrated Public Service • Shall provide Larunungan tarps and posters; • IPS shall facilitate coordination and follow-up with courier partner for difficulties or concerns that may arise ; • IPS shall be responsible of preparing weekly summary report of the efforts of all other partners to DEPED and the external publics All other tasks/concerns not stipulated shall be directly handled by IPS.
