Yeng Constantino sings for Knowledge
Pin It

Pinoy Dream Academy Grand Star Dreamer Yeng Constantino is helping Knowledge Channel Foundation, Inc. (KCFI) educate millions of public school students.

Yeng sang the newly launched KCFI theme song titled “May K Ako”.

Being a strong advocate of education, Yeng was the perfect choice for KCFI. The preppy rocker co-wrote “May K Ako“, which encourages the youth to do their best and be the best to reach their dreams. Yeng herself is a testament to what one can achieve. She sang herself into the hearts of millions when she topped her batch at Pinoy Dream Academy to become the show’s first Grand Star Dreamer. Star Records later launched Yeng’s debut album which reached gold status two weeks after release, and then platinum status after a month.

KCFI’s Knowledge Channel is the first and only station on simulcast nationwide mode, broadcasting 14 hours of programming based on the DepEd’s competencies. The  2006 and 2007 NAT (National Achievement Test) scores Outcome Assessment Studies conducted by the UP Diliman’s School of Statistics reflected an increase of 2-3% in NAT Scores in educational institutions whose students regularly watched Knowledge Channel programs. In some schools in remote areas, enrolment rates have even increased, and absences have gone down, with the Knowledge Channel’s television programs serving as a magnet for eager-to-learn children.
