STAR Circle grand questor and Star Magic talent Erich Gonzales plays the lead role in “Katorse.” Along with “Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus” winner Ejay Falcon and model-athlete Xian Lim, Erich stars in the TV remake of the coming-of-age ‘80s film by Joey Giosiengfao that launched the career of Dina Bonnevie.

Under the direction of Malu Sevilla, Erich plays Nene, a carefree 14-year-old who has to face life’s difficulties early. The Davao native says she may not have experienced the hardships Nene went through but this does not stop her from giving 100% in this project.

“I watched the original film and I try to study acting techniques from films and TV shows that are related to what I’m going to do,” she says. “For example, pinanood ko yung ‘The Reader’ ni Kate Winslet.”

The young actress shares that her parents have always been supportive of her career and that they had blessed her move to accept the role, her boldest ever.

“Madaming matututunan yung manonood, especially the teens who forget to be careful in their actions and
responsibilities,” she explains.
