Bayan COO Rafael AguadoBayan launched an employee engagement program, “1sa Para sa Bayan,” at the start of this year, where each member of its total workforce is encouraged to refer or sell to at least one new subscriber (or “naki-1sa”) from their KKKs or kapamilya, kaibigan and kakilala.
The program aims to stress the importance of Bayan’s I-Kusang Kakasa values: Kumikitang Kabuhayan, Sama-samang May Saya, Simple at Totoong Serbisyo, Kakaibang Diskarte and Aksyong Dekalidad.
“The 1sa Para sa Bayan program is important because it shows our employees’ commitment and that our participation comes from our hearts,” said Bayan COO Rafael Aguado, who became the first Bayan employee to bring in a KKK. “While part of this is about generating sales, we are also doing 1sa Para sa Bayan to show that we are united and are speaking with a single voice.”
By the end of the April deadline, all Bayan employees were able to deliver at least one subscriber and even generated a total of 1,642 new customers. About 32% of the employees had two or more sales to their credit.
Their collective efforts have yielded glowing results. For the first six months of 2012, Bayan’s revenue grew by 6% versus the same period last year. The bulk of this came from DSL and corporate data services, which grew by over 10%.
But more important than generating sales, 1sa Para sa Bayan reinforced the employees’ love for the company, its products, services and its customers.
