Over 6 million families are facing various challenges in distance learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. These include lack of gadgets for digital learning, poor or no internet connectivity and insufficient load, among many others. The struggle is real as children, their parents and teachers try to get through the new school year with whatever little resources they have.
With your generous donation, Knowledge Channel Foundation Inc. (KCFI) will be able to continue its mission to help make distance learning more accessible, feasible and affordable to Kapamilya learners. Your financial contributions will go to the following services KCFI continues to provide despite the pandemic:
• 24/7 broadcast of the Knowledge Channel accessible to over 2 million households via cable and satellite
• Livestreaming of educational content and webinars via Facebook and YouTube
• Production of animated content for kids age 5 to 9 based on the Department of Education curriculum
• Distribution of Knowledge Channel Portable Media Libraries for teachers (plug-and-play external hard drives with over 1,000 video lessons)
In the words of KCFI president and executive director Rina Lopez Bautista, “all that we need now are people who believe that what we can accomplish together can and will make a difference.” No offering is too small for our fellow Kapamilya. Let’s help them adapt better to distance learning.
