As residents reel from the catastrophic effects of typhoon Paeng, ABS-CBN Foundation Inc. (AFI), in coordination with local government offices and civic groups, donated relief packs and hygiene kits to 27,000 individuals or 5,400 families all over Luzon, including Brgy. Pagyaba in Masantol, Pampanga.
With the help of Masantol’s Municipal Social Welfare and Development office, AFI distributed sacks of rice and canned goods to the affected residents.
With local youth group United Team Bantay, AFI has also reached 400 evacuees in Kawit, Cavite who lost their homes and livelihoods because of the typhoon.
Managing director Berta Lopez-Feliciano assured the public that AFI will always strive to lend a hand to those who are in need.
Tutulong kami hanggang kaya namin,” she said.
Ernie Lopez, AFI director of advocacy, said that they are thankful for the trust of the donors.
