As 2023 comes to a close, Knowledge Channel Foundation Inc. (KCFI) remains steadfast in its mission to help nurture happier and holistically developed Filipinos across the nation!
This December, KCFI was awarded the prestigious Anak TV Seal for “I Love You 1000” (early childhood development), “AgriKids” (for agriculture for elementary grades) and “Ready, Set, Read!” (for Grade 1 English), assuring parents and caregivers that Knowledge Channel shows are child-friendly, child-sensitive and responsibly made. As for its online category, KCFI received Anak TV Seal awards for “Wikaharian Online World,” “Knowledge on the Go,” “Art Smart” and “Kwentoons.” KCFI also received a plaque of recognition for its contributions to “Brigada Pagbasa,” a collaborative program of the Department of Education, World Vision Philippines and other partners for improving reading skills.
The foundation launched a new episode for its health education block, “Health TB: Aksyon Kalusugan” which aims to raise awareness, debunk misconceptions and encourage proactive health measures for the prevention and management of tuberculosis, in partnership with the Philippine Tuberculosis Society. It integrates sign language interpretation, working towards more accessible public health information for all.
KCFI also provided Knowledge Channel video lessons through the Knowledge Channel Portable Media Library (KC PML) and/or Knowledge Channel TV and trained recipient schools on maximizing them in classroom instruction, thanks to its partners—Aboitiz Foundation, ABS-CBN Foundation Inc., DOLE Korea, DOLE Philippines, GND Power, Morong High School Alumni Association Southern California chapter, the Rotary Club of Makati West and the Yellow Boat of Hope Foundation.
Knowledge Channel plugs appeared on a giant digital billboard on EDSA. This was made possible through its partnership with the Media and Civil Affairs Group of the Civil Relations Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (MCAG, CRSAFP). Under an agreement with MCAG, CRSAFP, the foundation provided CRSAFP’s mobile learning hub with a KC PML.
