We’re nearing the end of school year 2023-2024 and fourth quarter exams are just around the corner! With the cancellation of classes due to extreme heat, what better way to study at home than with the ever-dependable Knowledge Channel Foundation Inc. (KCFI) video lessons?
Paired with books, notes, remote learning modules and other materials, children at home can learn with KCFI’s shows on Knowledge Channel on-air and online, and offline through the Knowledge Channel Portable Media Library and Knowledge Channel TV.
KCFI’s shows are curriculum-based, very appealing and easily understood, and have been recognized by the Department of Education (DepEd) and other institutions that know education well, and even award-giving bodies. On May 4, five of KCFI’s shows received finalist nominations at the 18th UP Community Broadcasters’ Society Gandingan Awards held at the University of the Philippines Los Baños: “AgriKids” for Most Development-Oriented Children’s Program, “Musikantahan” for Most Development-Oriented Musical Segment/Program, “Agricoolture” for Most Development-Oriented Documentary Program, “Puno ng Buhay” for Most Development-Oriented Magazine Program and “Wow” for Most Development-Oriented Environmental Program. KCFI vice president Edric Calma was also a finalist for Best TV Program Host for “Wow.” “Musikantahan” took home the award for the Most Development-Oriented Musical Segment/Program. Watch the winning “Musikantahan” video here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=tWT4skqbhvI.
A couple of weeks ago, KCFI and Unilever-Breeze officially capped off their “EcoProject” after a successful three-year run. A total of 133,178 students from the DepEd schools division offices of Taguig-Pateros, Marikina and Quezon City became eco-warriors. “EcoProject” educated children on climate change and proper waste management, engaged with nature through community immersions and empowered them to work toward affecting positive change for the environment.
KCFI continues to be in the service of the Filipino learners through its video lessons. Help us reach more and teach more this periodical exam season!
