KCFI kapamilya continue to empower education and transform lives in 2025Another year filled with hope and determination is here and we at the Knowledge Channel Foundation Inc. (KCFI) reaffirm our commitment to the Filipino children and their educators. Our mission remains as vital as ever: to be responsible stewards and cocreators of transformative learning experiences especially in the service of the poor and marginalized Filipino children and communities. Each year brings new challenges, but also new opportunities to bridge gaps in education and create meaningful change.

In 2025, we begin with a renewed focus on expanding access to education, deepening the impact of our programs and adapting for the future. This reflects the collective efforts of stakeholders who share this vision with us where we are shaping a future in which every Filipino child can thrive.

As we look ahead, our first priority is clear: no child should be left behind. Despite the progress we have made, the learning crisis persists. Millions of Filipino children still struggle with basic literacy and numeracy, a challenge exacerbated by inequities in access to educational resources. KCFI will continuously extend its reach, ensuring that even the most remote and underserved communities have access to our curriculum-based video lessons, educational games and teacher training programs. Through our multi-platform approach—onair, online and offline—we are making strides in bridging the digital divide and reaching learners wherever they are.

Expanding access is just the beginning. As stewards of transformative learning, we must deepen our impact by enhancing the quality of our programs and measuring outcomes effectively. Our “Basa Bilang” project, which equips young learners with foundational skills in reading and math, is just one example of how we integrate evidence-based practices into our work. But we know that children cannot succeed without the support of wellequipped teachers. Through our training programs, we empower educators with 21st-century teaching strategies, Knowledge Channel solution integration and the confidence to adapt to the evolving educational landscape.

In 2025, KCFI is embracing innovation as we seek to adapt to a rapidly changing world. As I emphasized during my start-of-the-year address at KCFI’s general assembly, technology—and specifically artificial intelligence (AI)—will play a crucial role in our future. AI is a powerful tool, akin to the internet’s transformative impact 25 years ago. This year, we will explore how AI can enhance our content creation, streamline production, improve the delivery of educational materials and probably help us with revenue generation. Just as importantly, we are committed to using AI responsibly and creatively to provide children and educators with opportunities to learn, grow and succeed in a digital age.
