Feb. 11, 1899
Benito, Eugenio “Eñing” Lopez Sr.’s father, becomes the secretary general of the revolutionary government when the war breaks out in Iloilo.

Benito is elected Governor of Iloilo at the age of 29.

Feb. 1, 1933
The Iloilo- Negros Air Express Co. (INAEC) makes its inaugural fight, from Fort San Pedro in Iloilo to Manila. The company starts making regular Iloilo-Manila fights 15 days later.

Feb. 2, 1938
Eñing buys out the rival bus firm, Panay Autobus for p565,000, giving him in control of land transportation in Iloilo.

Feb. 19, 1951
