Energy Development Corporation (EDC) and ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation Inc. (ALKFI), through its Bantay Kalikasan program, will partner up to develop a mangrove forest area in Manito, Albay into a sustainable ecotourism site to help generate livelihood for the residents. The identified mangrove forest area is included in the areas rehabilitated under EDC’s BINHI program through its partner farmer-assisted association, the Alliance of Bacman Farmers Association Inc. The communities are among the host communities of EDC’s Bacon-Manito Geothermal Project, which generated 140 megawatts of clean and uninterrupted energy.
