As students go back to school after two years of distance learning carrying the burden of various educational gaps such as limited access to books, learning references and materials, Knowledge Channel Foundation Inc. (KCFI) continues to step up to deliver quality education to all, leaving no one behind.
KCFI gives everyone a chance to become agents of educational change through its “EduCARDS.” The EduCARDS help KCFI and its partners produce more K-3 video lessons—“Wikaharian” for Filipino, “Ready, Set, Read” for English and “Mathdali” for math—which can develop students’ basic literacy and numeracy skills.
These additional materials are effective supplements to self-learning modules, considering that not all homes have access to the internet and to Knowledge Channel’s broadcast.
An evaluation report on “Wikaharian’s” intervention in Grade 1 students of Santa Rosa Elementary School Central 1 and Central 3 and Balibago Elementary School showed that 60% of respondents advanced in their oral reading ability. The highest gains were in spelling, letter knowledge and phonological awareness, and comprehension. With the goal of improving learning outcomes, we should all act to ensure inclusivity and equality in education.
Gifts that keep on giving, that’s what EduCARDS are. You can gift them to yourself or to a loved one who is celebrating a birthday. There are also EduCARDS you can purchase for other special occasions. Become an agent for educational change by clicking https://www.knowledgechannel.org/edu-card and purchasing an EduCARD!
