The Saturday Group of Artists partners withLINGKOD: An Art Exhibit unfolds on November 15 – 22, 2014 at Greenbelt 3 Lobby, Makati to showcase the exemplary works of renowned artists in the likes of Lydia Velasco, Migs Villanueva, Anna De Leon, Buddy Ching, Buds Convocar, Carlo Ongchiangco, Danny Pangan, Roma and many more.
LINGKOD is one of the major events to celebrate ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya’s 25th anniversary. It is a fund-raising event to uplift the lives of the communities in Bantay Kalikasan – Green Initiative ecotourism sites through sustainable projects that protect the environment. Mindoro, Romblon, Palawan, Masbate, Sorsogon and Saranggani Province are among the ecotourism sites initiated by Bantay Kalikasan.
ALKFI Managing Director Clarissa Ocampo shared the long standing partnership of the foundation with the Saturday Group of Artists. “This is the 8th year of your support and this is a very special year because it is our 25th year. We dedicate this project for our Green Initiative sites. Currently we are in the 11 provinces and 21 sites, and we are anchoring on ecotourism for this particular project,” she added.
The Saturday Group of Artists is the oldest and most prestigious group of critically-acclaimed painters, sculptors and mixed media artists.
“I’d like to invite the public to see us here in Greenbelt 3 from Nov. 15 to 22nd. Every painting that you’ll buy will be an opportunity to help a community. The proceeds of the painting that you’ll buy will be donated to ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya.
