Lopez Museum and Library as the new exhibit, Articles of Disagreements, arrives this September.
Dive deep into the treasure trove ofCurated by Lian Ladia and Sidd Perez of the Planting Rice curatorial team, this exhibition of art languages will unearth the different forms of art writing and anecdotes of criticism in Philippine art history.
The exhibition section will include pivotal works mentioned in the major texts found in the archives.
Featured artists are Nilo Ilarde, Buen Calubayan, Maria Cruz and the collective Tito & Tita. The exhibit will revolve around the archives of the library, along with the works of Raymundo Albano, Fernando Zobel, Nena Saguil and Roberto Chabet from the Lopez Museum collection. It will also include the museum’s everpresent collection of the works of Juan Luna and Felix Resurreccion Hidalgo. (Paolo Arago)
