Loreto Lobo was one of the safety awardees during the N2N Relocation Project 3 Million Safe Work Hours recognition ceremony at the project site in Valencia, Negros Oriental.
Organized by Energy Development Corporation (EDC), the event was held to celebrate the successful accumulation of work hours without any losttime incident from August 11, 2012 to May 29, 2014.
Lobo was hired in December 2012 as a carpenter/mason at the First Balfour N2N project, which involves the relocation of EDC’s Northern Negros geothermal power plant from Negros Occidental to the Nasulo geothermal site at the Southern Negros Geothermal Production Field in Negros Oriental.
His hard work and dedication paid off as he received the Best Safety Worker awards of First Balfour in March 2013 and Sumitomo Corporation in October 2013.
Among the contractors recognized during the ceremony, meanwhile, were First Balfour, Sumitomo Corporation and Taehei Alltech Construction Philippines. (D. Pasia)
