Keesa Ocampo was recently sworn in as a member of the San Mateo County Commission on the Status of Women, which addresses issues on women and girls across 21 Bay Area cities. Ocampo, the government and community relations officer for ABSCBN International, comes from a long line of public servants. Her great-grandfather, Pablo Ocampo, was elected as Resident Commissioner to the US government in 1907 and served in Congress until 1909. Her family has served in the Philippine Congress, representing Manila, since 1965. Ocampo herself has received a presidential citation for her humanitarian work from former Pres. Gloria Macapagal- Arroyo.
