The champion Business Excellence TeamThe Business Excellence squad composed of players from ABSCBN, SKY Cable and Knowledge Channel Foundation Inc. bagged the team overall crown as it dominated the 2016 Lopez Group Badminton Tournament held at Centro Atletico, Cubao on July 23.

Finishing second was the Pioneering Entrepreneurial Spirit contingent represented by employees from Energy Development Corporation and Lopez Holdings Corporation. In third spot was Team Unity from Rockwell, Asian Eye Institute and First Philippine Industrial Corporation.

Employee Welfare and Wellness (Lopez Inc./Adtel/ INAEC/ Infopro Business Solutions/TG Services) and Nationalism (First Philippine Holdings Corporation/ First Gen) tabbed the fourth spot, followed by Social Justice (First Balfour/First Philippine Industrial Park) and Integrity (First Philippine Realty Corporation/ ABS-CBN Logistics)

Meanwhile, the individual champions in each category are Tony Alimon and Van Cliff Bacuyag of Business Excellence (men’s doubles); Danica Rueda and Mean Selga of Business Excellence (ladies’ doubles); Rey Briones and Reena Espiritu of Unity (mixed doubles); and Bernard Lapuz and Winston Pioquinto of Pioneering Entrepreneurial Spirit (veterans’ doubles).
