La Mesa Ecopark is a sanctuary around La Mesa Watershed developed via a joint partnership between the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System, ABS-CBN and Quezon City. The public park aims to preserve and protect La Mesa Watershed not only by generating revenue, but also by promoting environmental awareness. Students, families, environmentalists, tourists and fitness buffs flock to the park every day as an alternative to the shopping malls in the metropolis.
This October event marked the first time that the WTT was held here. Previously, the WTT wellness undertaking was usually held at La Mesa Nature Reserve on the other side of La Mesa Watershed. (Story/Photos by: Gerbs de Castro)
