The earnings of First Philippine Holdings Corporation (FPH) grew substantially in 2018, anchored on the sterling performance of unit First Gen Corporation, which accounted for 83% of its revenues. Its other units in manufacturing and property development also turned in favorable numbers, with Rockwell Land Corporation increasing attributable net income by 21% on a 10% increase in revenues. However, ABS-CBN Corporation’s performance slowed. In 2018, it ended its mobile phone venture and unit SKY Cable Corporation lagged from its budget following a decline in cable subscriber numbers.De La Salle University-Dasmariñas (DLSU-D) and De La Salle Health Sciences Institute (DLSHSI) in Dasmariñas, Cavite have reaffirmed their commitment to a greener future by renewing their power supply contracts to continue to be powered by clean and reliable geothermal energy.
DLSU-D’s 27-hectare campus and DLSHSI will continue to be powered by geothermal energy supplied by the BaconManito Geothermal Project of Energy Development Corporation (EDC).
