Atty. Rachel HernandezThe board of First Philippine Holdings Corporation (FPH) at its meeting on July 7 approved the appointment of Rachel Hernandez as vice president (VP), assistant corporate secretary and assistant compliance officer of the company.

Hernandez’s appointment follows the retirement of Esmeraldo Amistad, who stepped down after 25 years of service as FPH VP, corporate legal services head, assistant corporate secretary and assistant compliance officer.

Hernandez is currently VP (since 2013) and corporate secretary (since 2009) of First Gen Corporation. Prior to joining First Gen, she was legal counsel at CalEnergy International Services Inc. She holds Bachelor of Laws (1992) and Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy (1986) degrees from the University of the Philippines. She is a member of the Philippine Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association.
