First Philippine Industrial Park (FPIP) inked a strategic partnership with telecommunications and digital solutions provider InfiniVAN on Jan. 31, 2024, with the goal of strengthening the connectivity inside the park. Through this partnership, InfiniVAN will make use of FPIP’s newly installed dark fiber facility, granting FPIP’s 150 world-class locators and over 70,000 highly skilled employees access to superfast, reliable and secure but more affordable internet services.
“FPIP is proud to welcome InfiniVAN amongst its locators and service provider partners,” said Manuel Lizardo Jr., FPIP vice president (VP). “We continue to strive to elevate the quality of support services within the park, and InfiniVAN has the track record and range of offerings that can help ensure the seamless operations of our locators.”
Aside from their 24/7 technical support, InfiniVAN has the most advanced and reliable broad network infrastructure and services. A subsidiary of Japan telco giant IPS Inc., it offers the business sector internet connectivity at par with global standards through its end-to-end fiber optic network infrastructure.
It co-owns the Philippine Domestic Submarine Cable Network, a 2,500-kilometer undersea fiber cable network that connects key cities and tourist hubs in the Philippines from Quezon province to Zamboanga. This recently launched investment by InfiniVAN expands its capacity of a modern and secure gateway for the country to the rest of the world via Japan.
The new partnership with InfiniVAN aligns with FPIP’s goal to improve its digital infrastructure.
“We recognize how vital connectivity is to a lot of business operations these days, and that is why we are taking the necessary steps to improve the digital infrastructure in FPIP. This will also enable us to facilitate locator growth, elevate the locator experience and aid our locators in their success,” added Jason de las Alas, FPIP VP for park management and utilities.
The signing ceremony was attended by FPIP chief digital officer Ernie Imperial, senior vice president for industrial business Toshiaki Oi, Lizardo, De las Alas and First Philippine Holdings Corporation corporate planning manager Joseph Dichoso.
Representing InfiniVAN were director Shigeki Nakahara, business cluster head for manufacturing Shunpei Komatsu and senior account manager Love Dabash.
