In a stride toward a regenerative and decarbonized future, First Philippine Industrial Park (FPIP) unveiled its electric vehicle (EV) charging station in July 2024.
Located at the FPIP admin complex right in front of the Oasis multipurpose covered court, the EV charging station is equipped with seven-kilowatt AC reliable chargers compatible with Type 1 (North America and Japan) and Type 2 (European and Asian, and GB/T) ports.
The charging station is designed with two charging bays, reducing wait times. Its userfriendly interface makes it easier for drivers to connect and charge their EVs easily.
According to FPIP assistant vice president for park management and utilities group Jason delas Alas, “one of the challenges in the adoption of EVs is lack of infrastructure. By installing the EV charging station, we can provide reliable and efficient charging solutions to EV users inside the industrial park.”
More than just providing a charging facility, the move is part of FPIP’s strategies to reduce carbon footprint. Delas Alas added: “This is one of our initiatives as we move forward in our sustainability goals. We also aim to inspire more people to adopt cleaner, sustainable transportation and, more importantly, embrace eco-friendly practices for a healthier planet.”
The EV charging station is available 24/7 and is free for use for all FPIP locators, employees and guests.
