EDC recognizes strategic suppliers and contractors

Energy Development Corporation conferred Strategic Partnership awards on 49 key suppliers and contractors during its first Vendor Recognition DayEnergy Development Corporation (EDC) recently hosted its inaugural Vendor Recognition Day to celebrate the significant contributions of its key suppliers and contractors in 2023-2024, laying the foundation for stronger collaborations moving forward.

The event, themed “Thriving Together: Growing Partnerships for Mutual Success,” underscored EDC’s recognition of its vendors’ vital role in achieving the company’s success.

In his opening message, EDC president and chief operating officer Jerome Cainglet thanked their most outstanding vendors who stood by them with excellence and innovations amid the extreme weather conditions and other challenges that impacted EDC’s operations in the past two years. He expressed how the vendors’ willingness to go above and beyond drove their shared success.

“Innovation continues to reshape our industry, opening doors to new technologies, sustainable practices and untapped markets. We may face challenges, but these also present incredible opportunities for growth that we can seize together,” added Cainglet.

The Vendor Recognition Day underscored EDC’s commitment to building strong, collaborative relationships with its vendors. Vendors were recognized for their contributions across several key areas, including involvement in drilling operations plans, support of growth projects, successful delivery of priority projects, proactive risk mitigation and timely calamity response.

These parameters reflect the value of EDC’s partnerships and emphasize the importance of collaboration, innovation and resilience. Forty-nine vendors invited with the parameters were recognized and given Strategic Partnership awards, including SLB, ThermaPrime Drilling Corporation, First Balfour Inc. and Hong Equipment and Development Corporation.

EDC assistant vice president and supply chain head Abigaile Palas closed the event with high hopes for a better partnership: “As we move forward this 2025, let us sustain the energy and inspiration of this event. Let us embrace the new year’s opportunities with confidence, determination, a shared commitment to excellence and excitement for all that we will achieve together.”
