LopezLong-time kapamilya had their well-deserved time in the spotlight at the 2016 Lopez Service Awards held in Rockwell Center, Makati on July 15.
Lopez Inc. president Eugenio Lopez III welcomed the honorees, employees and guests to the annual event, while Lopez Holdings Corporation chairman Amb. Manuel M. Lopez (AMML) delivered an inspirational message. Taking off from the evening’s theme of “Integrity in Service Excellence,” AMML emphasized the especial significance of the Lopez Values of integrity and business excellence.
“After all, we are not only working for our companies. Ultimately, we are working for ourselves and for our families. We are showing our children and grandchildren the meaning of living our values,” he said.
Lopez Inc. chairman Oscar M. Lopez led the assemblage in offering a toast to the awardees, who had put in more than 100 years of service to the Lopez Group, collectively.
Lopez Inc. had two 20-year service awardees in Marson Gaguis and Marifi Hernandez. Mark Cel Manalili, who has been part of the Lopez Museum and Library staff for 10 years, was the lone honoree from Eugenio Lopez Foundation Inc.
Leading this year’s awardees from Lopez Holdings Corporation was Mario Bactol, who has served the company for 20 years. Bactol was also awarded as a Lopez Group Unsung Hero during the 2014 Lopez Achievement Awards.
Atty. Maria Amina Amado, Atty. Marlon Fajardo and Norma Garife were cited for their 10 years of service to Lopez Holdings. Completing the roster of awardees were the fiveyear awardees, Lopez Holdings vice president Miguel L. Lopez and Raquel dela Paz.
