The quotes cover causes and values close to OML’s heart, such as nationalism, integrity, togetherness and education.

OML’s only sister Presy L. Psinakis opens the book with a reminiscence about life with her “Manong Ka,” while his children, granddaughter Maiki Abello, and Lopez Group executives share their own anecdotes about the chairman and his passions. As a “finale,” OML’s low-key wife, Connie R. Lopez, contributes her reflections on their 54 years of togetherness. “OML at 80” is written and edited by Lopez family historian Raul Rodrigo.
